Workshop Design & Facilitation
I have been passionately designing, and facilitating workshops to teach clients new methods to help them envision the future of their industry and organisation, come up with innovative solutions to their problems and create work plans to actualise their strategy.
Often based on Design Thinking Principles, these workshops have been activity-based, interactive sessions with real-time collaboration be it in person or remotely. Additionally, I have been actively involved in custom-designing unique canvases, trigger cards or games to foster inspired, creative thinking and to ensure the participants are having fun!
My Favourite Workshops
Design Thinking for innovative problem solving; Open Innovation Challenge
Client: Singapore Food Manufacturing Association + Singapore Universities
Designed and facilitated an Open Innovation Challenge to organise a 5 Day Hackathon, preparing university students to apply Design Thinking Process to given challenge statements and subsequently deliver a Pitch presentation. An extensive toolkit with templates and tools for each stage of the Design Thinking process was provided for the teams.
During the Design Thinking workshop, the ‘Look, Think and Make’ templates were introduced to the students along with instructions on how to complete them, and practical examples. I was matched with some of the teams to mentor and support them to help the teams focus and sharpen their ideas.
Where Design Thinking Ends; Innovation SandBoxing
Client: Civil Services College (CSC)
What happens after design thinking? It is ‘Innovation Sandboxing’ - a comprehensive step by step approach to actualise innovation in de-risked environment.
I was part of the co-design and facilitation team for a series of Innovation Sandbox workshops (perhaps the first of its kind course), instructing participants on the principles and tools for scoping, designing, successfully executing and implementing controlled innovation experiments.

Singapore Design Education beyond 30 years

Designed and facilitated four annual series of workshops to envision the future of design education in Singapore beyond 2050 and contributed to the report writing, integral to the initiative’s success.
Transforming The Fashion Industry; Sustainability Round Table
